About the position

The Automation Tester at Raft will play a crucial role in analyzing test results, coordinating with development teams for bug fixes, and developing automated test scenarios for performance testing. This position requires a strong focus on problem-solving and collaboration to enhance existing test procedures and ensure the quality of software solutions for clients in the federal and public sectors.

Responsibilities

• Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for bug fixes.
• Analyze the underlying causes of performance issues and provide corrective action.
• Develop an automated test scenario and environment for performance testing.
• Review and recommend improvements in existing test procedures.
• Coordinate with the testing team to develop performance test plans and cases.
• Research issues in software through testing to validate feedback, response time, & error code.
• Design and develop test automation scripts to create, enhance, debug, and run test cases.

Requirements

• Three plus years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Experience with Java, React, Angular, Gitlab, RHEL, JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr & Python.
• Ability to use web methods like GET, PUT, POST, DELETE.
• Ability to validate XML and JSON body using JSON parser.
• Knowledge of OAuth and OAuth2 authentication mechanisms.
• Experience in loading and security testing on web services.
• Familiarity with test automation guidelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree is a plus.
• SAFe for Teams, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Agile Technical Tester, & Implementing Test Process Improvement certifications.
• Good problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to changing business requirements.
