As an Automation Tester at Raft, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing test results and coordinating with development teams to address any identified bugs. You will be tasked with investigating the underlying causes of performance issues and implementing corrective actions to enhance system reliability. A significant part of your role will involve developing automated test scenarios and environments specifically for performance testing, as well as reviewing and recommending improvements to existing testing procedures. You will collaborate closely with the testing team to create comprehensive performance test plans and cases, ensuring that all software issues are thoroughly researched and validated through testing. This includes validating feedback, response times, and error codes, as well as designing and developing test automation scripts to create, enhance, debug, and execute test cases effectively. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of three years of relevant hands-on experience in automation testing. Familiarity with technologies such as Java, React, Angular, Gitlab, RHEL, JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr, and Python is essential. You should be proficient in using various web methods, including GET, PUT, POST, and DELETE, and have the ability to validate XML and JSON bodies using a JSON parser. Knowledge of OAuth and OAuth2 authentication mechanisms is also required, along with experience in loading and security testing on web services. You will need to be comfortable designing and developing test automation scripts and should be familiar with test automation guidelines. Additionally, you must be willing to obtain relevant certifications, such as SAFe for Teams and ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, within your first year at Raft. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree being a plus. Furthermore, you will need to obtain CompTIA Security+ or another DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification within the first 90 days of employment.
