About the position

The Automations Controls Engineer position is focused on designing and implementing automation systems for manufacturing processes, particularly involving CNC machining and robotics. The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering and programming of various automation equipment, including PLCs, robots, and vision systems.

Responsibilities

• Design machine tending automation system cell controllers.
• Interface automation equipment such as CNC machine tools, robots, washers, gauges/CMMs, and markers.
• Perform electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and setup of various automation peripherals.
• Program PLCs/HMIs (preferably Allen-Bradley), robots (preferably Fanuc), and vision systems (iRvision or Cognex).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experience with manufacturing automation and industrial robotic systems.
• Strong electrical design, wiring, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in PLC/HMI/Robot/Vision programming.
• Experience in mechanical assembly and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with major industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profibus, and Profinet.
• Knowledge of safety circuit and safety relay/controller configuration.
