About the position

The Automations Controls Engineer position involves designing and implementing automation systems for CNC machines and robotics. The role requires expertise in electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and programming PLCs and robots, with a focus on enhancing manufacturing processes through automation.

Responsibilities

• Design machine tending automation system cell controllers.
• Interface automation equipment such as CNC machine tools, robots, washers, gauges/CMMs, and markers.
• Set up electrical wiring and troubleshoot various automation peripherals.
• Program PLCs/HMIs (preferably Allen-Bradley), robots (preferably Fanuc), and vision systems (iRvision or Cognex).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experience with manufacturing automation and industrial robotic systems.
• Strong capabilities in electrical design, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in PLC/HMI/Robot/Vision programming.
• Experience in mechanical assembly and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with major industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profibus, and Profinet.
• Knowledge of safety circuit and safety relay/controller configuration.
