About the position

The Automations Controls Engineer position involves designing and implementing automation systems for CNC machines and robotics. The role requires expertise in electrical design, programming of PLCs and HMIs, and interfacing various automation equipment. The engineer will work on machine tending automation systems and ensure the effective integration of robotic and CNC technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design machine tending automation system cell controllers.
• Interface CNC machine tools, robots, washers, gauges/CMMs, and markers with automation equipment.
• Perform electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and setup of various automation peripherals.
• Program PLCs/HMIs (preferably Allen-Bradley), robots (preferably Fanuc), and vision systems (iRvision or Cognex).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experience with manufacturing automation and industrial robotic systems.
• Strong capabilities in electrical design, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in PLC/HMI/Robot/Vision programming.
• Experience in mechanical assembly and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with major industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profibus, and Profinet.
• Knowledge of safety circuit and safety relay/controller configuration.
