In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings, checking material dimensions, and ensuring that all components relate accurately to the overall structure or project. You will review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and verify the dimensional accuracy of structural layouts and installations. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with manufacturing teams, vendors, and engineering departments to ensure that all documentation meets the required specifications. Additionally, you will engage with the sales team and customers to discuss design applications and construct drawings based on concepts or sketches. As a project manager, you will also review and critique proposed engineering standards, policies, or details, ensuring that all projects align with the company's commitment to quality and innovation. Responsibilities

  • Create drawings, checking material dimensions and relationship to other parts and to the entire structure or project on the drawing
  • Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards
  • Verify dimensional accuracy of structural layouts and installations
  • Work with manufacturing, vendors, and engineering to ensure documentation meets specifications
  • Collaborate with the sales team and customers on design and applications
  • Construct drawings from concepts or sketches
  • Review and critique proposed engineering standards, policies, or details
  • Act as project manager

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a two or four year degree preferred with major course work in an engineering curriculum or a related area of study; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
  • Knowledge of PLC programming
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits
  • Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry
  • Excellent computer knowledge and skills with drafting programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail oriented with a willingness to accept challenges and strive for continual improvement
  • Safety minded and practices shop safety
  • Self-motivated to work independently
