About the position

The Automobile Sales Consultant at Midwestern Auto Group (MAG) is responsible for generating vehicle sales while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This role involves building strong relationships with customers, assisting them in selecting vehicles, and providing high-quality demonstrations and delivery of new and used vehicles. The consultant will also promote additional product offerings and ensure customers understand their vehicle's features and warranties, all while achieving strategic sales goals and maintaining positive relationships with the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and builds strong rapport with customers to provide an enjoyable car buying experience
  • Assists customers in selecting a vehicle that matches their needs
  • Performs high-quality, professional vehicle demonstrations and delivery
  • Presents customers with additional product offerings to enhance their vehicle and ownership experience
  • Ensures all customers understand the vehicle's operating features and warranty
  • Ensures timely follow-up and communication with existing and prospective clients
  • Continuously develops product and sales acumen to become a product/services vehicle expert
  • Achieves strategic sales goals
  • Ensures achievement of CSI/NPS targets
  • Collaborates with sales team and maintains positive working relationships
  • Stays current on required manufacturing training

Requirements

  • Experienced in automotive sales or retail sales preferred
  • Significant customer service experience
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working with Dealer Management Systems and technologies (preference for Eleads & AutoAlert)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Knowledge of insurance procedures
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
