About the position

The Automotive Accounting Manager at Courtesy Palm Harbor Honda plays a crucial role in overseeing the on-site accounting team, ensuring the financial health of the dealership, and managing financial planning, budgeting, and accounting practices. This position requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills to support dealership operations and enhance guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the on-site accounting team to support dealership customers and department managers.
  • Oversee the financial condition of the dealership, including financial planning and budgeting.
  • Interact daily with dealership managers to resolve issues between the shared processing center and dealership managers.
  • Review operating reports as per Asbury requirements.
  • Assist dealership personnel with general human resource questions.
  • Supervise the compliance administrator and assist with deal flow and resolving problem deal and CIT issues.
  • Hire, train, and counsel the compliance administrator.
  • Work with the title service provider to resolve documentation issues.
  • Attend manager meetings regarding dealership operations, deal flow, and CIT.
  • Ensure compliance with Asbury policies and procedures and report deviations to the Market Controller.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years accounting/office manager experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and investigative research skills.
  • Computer literate with competence in ADP and other finance applications.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff, and vendors.
  • Process and solutions-oriented with strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
  • People management and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a dealership environment.
  • Familiarity with automotive finance applications.
