About the position

The Accounting Manager is responsible for accurately representing the financial condition of the dealership, implementing necessary controls for business conduct, maintaining accurate records, and establishing data processing capabilities to meet dealership objectives. This role involves collaboration with store leadership and requires a strong understanding of financial data and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with store leadership including the GM and Department Managers.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations and reporting.
• Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems/processes for financial controls and performance.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating expenditures against budget, identifying expense and gross profit opportunities.
• Assist in the budgeting process and audits (floor plan, sales tax, manufacturer) and year-end review.
• Ensure all store transactions are processed timely, accurately, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or 5 years of commensurate experience.
• Automotive industry experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate various activities simultaneously.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
