About the position
Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is looking for full-time Automotive Assistant and Service Managers to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the East Hanover, NJ area. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of the repair shop, including scheduling mechanics/technicians' work, ordering parts, ensuring quality and timely completion of jobs, maintaining safety, and housekeeping of the shop. Candidates must be knowledgeable of under-car repairs, alignments, tires, and exhaust systems, and possess basic math and PC skills. Communication of safety and mechanical issues to the store manager is essential. Basic supervisory/leadership skills are also required. The Service Manager assists customers with tire selections and under-car repair services. This sales-oriented position requires prior sales experience in products/services requiring up-selling techniques. Knowledge of repairs and the automotive industry is a plus, along with excellent interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality, and a success-oriented mindset.

Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts and/or tire sales
- 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive repairs/maintenance
- Any combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position
