About the position

The Automotive Assistant & Service Managers at Mavis Tires are responsible for the efficient operation of the automotive service and retail tire sales centers. This role includes managing the scheduling of mechanics, ensuring quality service, and assisting customers with tire selections and repairs. The position requires a blend of technical knowledge in automotive repairs and strong interpersonal skills to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule mechanics and technicians' work
  • Order parts and manage inventory
  • Ensure quality and timely completion of jobs
  • Communicate safety and mechanical issues to the store manager
  • Assist customers with tire selections and under-car repair services
  • Utilize up-selling techniques to enhance sales
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 1 year of experience in automotive parts and/or tire sales
  • 1 year of experience in automotive repairs/maintenance
  • Basic math and PC skills
  • Knowledge of under-car repairs, alignments, tires, and exhaust systems
  • Basic supervisory and leadership skills
