About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at Monro Muffler/Brake is a full-time, hourly position responsible for assisting in the management of an automotive retail service and repair store. This role serves as the manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager and is focused on delivering exceptional service to guests while achieving performance and profitability goals. The Assistant Manager is expected to ensure that all teammates provide 5 Star service through effective communication and adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule guest appointments for effective optimization of technician abilities.
  • Help achieve Monro's sales goals by informing and recommending tire and service products.
  • Attend to all guest needs in areas of sales, service, complaints, and adjustments.
  • Build guest relationships to maximize customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Assist technicians in conveying repair and service needs to guests.
  • Ensure the store is maintained to Monro standards for cleanliness and guest readiness.
  • Assist with inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
  • Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist with services/repairs as needed.
  • Organize the store's workflow to utilize technician skill levels efficiently.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety protocols.
  • Perform Store Manager functions as business needs dictate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • ASE certification and State Inspection License preferred.
  • Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals.
  • Ability to problem solve, manage inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Effective communication skills with teammates and guests.
  • Complete all Monro required training in a timely manner.
  • Must possess a current valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.

Nice-to-haves
