About the position
The Automotive Assistants & Service Managers at Mavis Tires & Brakes are responsible for the efficient operation of the automotive service and retail tire sales centers. This role includes managing the scheduling of mechanics, ensuring quality service, and assisting customers with tire selections and repairs. The position requires a blend of technical knowledge in automotive repairs and strong interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Schedule mechanics and technicians' work efficiently.
- Order parts and ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Maintain safety standards and housekeeping in the shop.
- Assist customers with tire selections and under-car repair services.
- Communicate safety and mechanical issues to the store manager.
- Utilize sales techniques to upsell products and services.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- 1 year of experience in automotive parts and/or tire sales.
- 1 year of experience in automotive repairs/maintenance.
- Basic math and PC skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of under-car repairs, alignments, tires, and exhaust systems.
- Basic supervisory and leadership skills.
- Prior sales experience in automotive products/services.
