The Automotive Audio Amplifier Software Development Engineer at Ford Motor Company plays a crucial role in enhancing the in-vehicle audio experience as the company transitions to delivering digital experiences. This position involves developing, integrating, and testing software for automotive audio amplifiers, ensuring high performance and seamless integration with vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical specifications, design, and validate software for automotive audio amplifiers.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and suppliers to integrate audio amplifier software into vehicle systems.
  • Ensure compatibility and optimal performance of audio amplifier software with other vehicle systems.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of audio amplifier software to meet performance standards.
  • Manage documentation related to audio amplifier software development, including specifications and testing protocols.
  • Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and program delivery related to audio amplifier software.
  • Stay updated on advancements in audio technologies and software development techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive audio DSP software systems development, focusing on amplifier software design.
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including tools like Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Jenkins.
  • 3+ years of experience in integrating software with automotive hardware systems, including knowledge of CAN and A2B protocols.
  • 3+ years of experience using simulation and analysis tools for software performance evaluation and debugging.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Passion for automotive audio systems and audio software.
  • Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
