As an Automotive BDC Business Development Consultant at Allentown Kia Isuzu Truck Of The Lehigh Valley, you will play a crucial role in enhancing customer service and driving sales through effective communication and follow-up strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, with a focus on scheduling sales appointments and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction. You will utilize your selling abilities, computer skills, and positive attitude to engage with clients, aiming to increase customer service satisfaction with every interaction. Essential duties include answering incoming calls according to a script, making outbound calls to schedule appointments, logging customer comments, and confirming scheduled appointments. You will also be tasked with rescheduling no-show appointments and following up with the Sales or Service Department to determine the outcome of appointments. Additionally, you will maintain the customer database by updating customer information and generating follow-up communications such as letters, postcards, and emails based on a predetermined timeline. Your role will also involve responding to customer inquiries from the website and contacting internet customers to schedule appointments. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to meet or exceed monthly goals, demonstrating a professional and enthusiastic demeanor at all times. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you will be expected to manage multiple tasks effectively while contributing to a supportive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Handle heavy inbound and outbound calls with a commitment to customer service satisfaction.
  • Answer all incoming phone calls according to script and schedule sales appointments.
  • Make outbound calls and log all customer comments.
  • Schedule follow-up contact if no appointment is made.
  • Contact customers using scripts to schedule appointments for sales and service.
  • Confirm scheduled appointments and post them on the appointment board in BDC.
  • Reschedule no-show customer appointments and follow up with the Sales or Service Department to determine appointment outcomes.
  • Purify and update customer changes in the database.
  • Generate letters, postcards, and emails according to a pre-determined timeline for follow-up reminders.
  • Contact customers based on current marketing initiatives and respond to website requests.
  • Contact internet customers via email and phone to schedule appointments and follow up on emails according to a pre-determined timeline.
  • Notify necessary departments when an appointment is scheduled and assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Meet or exceed monthly goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with phones or telemarketing, preferably in automotive, business development, or customer service.
  • Familiarity with scripts, power tracks, and alternative choices in customer interactions.
  • Demonstrated professional, enthusiastic, and friendly attitude at the first point of contact with potential clients/customers.
  • First-class verbal, written, and communication skills, with the ability to initiate dialogue with the BDC Manager.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team or independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferable knowledge of Microsoft Word and data entry skills.
