About the position

The Bilingual/Chinese-Speaking Sales Representative at Toyota of Pasadena is responsible for assisting customers in selecting and purchasing vehicles, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This entry-level position does not require prior experience and offers ongoing training and support in a family-owned dealership environment. The role involves effective communication with customers, understanding their needs, and achieving sales targets while maintaining dealership standards.

Responsibilities

  • Satisfies the transportation needs of all vehicle purchasers, including internet sales inquiries.
  • Communicates effectively with Internet and Retail customers and prospects according to their preferred method of communication.
  • Understands the psychology of Internet customers and works with them to draw them into the store for proper vehicle demonstration.
  • Checks email frequently and responds to inquiries immediately.
  • Delivers messages intended for other departments promptly.
  • Notifies customers that their messages have been forwarded to the appropriate personnel for prompt attention.
  • Sells/leases and delivers a minimum of 10 units per month.
  • Approaches, greets, and offers assistance to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
  • Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Explains fully product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
  • Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
  • Offers test drives to all prospects and follows dealership procedures for identification.
  • Utilizes dealership sales control and follow-up system.
  • Exhibits high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws governing retail automobile sales.
  • Establishes personal income goals consistent with dealership standards and devises a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Attends product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager.
  • Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Knows and understands equity and values and can explain depreciation to the customer.
  • Ensures that the sales manager meets each customer.
  • Turns 100 percent of closed deals to finance and insurance manager with properly completed paperwork.
  • Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork according to dealership policies.
  • Prepares sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival.
  • Completes Safety Connect Registration for all new vehicle customers.
  • Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Introduces customers to service department personnel to emphasize quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance.
  • Schedules first service appointment and follows up on all post-delivery items.
  • Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business.
  • Maintains a prospect development system and reviews actions to better utilize time and plan effectively.
  • Attends sales meetings and maintains a professional appearance.
  • Completes 60 daily CRM engagements, 300 per week, and 1,200 or more per month.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Chinese and English.
