About the position

Lincoln of Wayne, a family-owned luxury automotive dealership, is seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Bookkeeper to assist with various accounting tasks. This full-time position focuses on ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency within the dealership's operations, offering competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Accurately post and process vehicle deals into the accounting system.
• Prepare contracts for funding to financial institutions.
• Regularly audit accounting schedules for accuracy and resolve inconsistencies.
• Assist in stocking new and used vehicle inventory and recording costs.
• Process invoices, post payments, and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Input financial data into the accounting system and maintain accurate records.
• Reconcile bank statements and customer accounts as needed.
• Prepare and generate financial reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting preferred.
• 1 year of experience in dealership accounting required.
• Proficiency in CDK and dealership accounting software preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
