The Premier Collection, a family-owned and operated multi-franchise auto dealer located in the White Plains, Nyack, Danbury, and Wappingers Falls areas, is seeking an Automotive Bookkeeper to join our growing team. As an Automotive Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations. You will be responsible for various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial dealings. In this role, you will be expected to handle a variety of bookkeeping tasks, including cost and deal postings to the general ledger, submission of incentives and rebates, auditing deals for accuracy, and managing vehicle floorplan and payoffs. You will also calculate and process sales commissions, maintain accounting schedules, and assist with monthly close tasks alongside the Office Manager and Controller. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Cost and post deals to the general ledger
  • Submission of incentives and rebates as needed
  • Audit deals for accuracy and compliance
  • Handle vehicle floorplan and payoffs
  • Calculate, process, and submit sales commissions
  • Examine and maintain accounting schedules
  • Review and management of CIT's
  • Complete various journal entries and process/route other necessary paperwork
  • Handle inquiries from various dealership personnel
  • Assist Office Manager and Controller with monthly close and other tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Automotive bookkeeping experience
  • CDK experience a plus
  • Proficient computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Thorough understanding of automotive administrative and accounting functions
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong follow-up abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional and dependable team-player
