About the position

The Business Product Manager for Digital Platform Solutions at Honda is responsible for developing and executing product and business strategies that align with the company's sustainability goals. This role focuses on creating innovative digital solutions for the automotive sector, enhancing brand competitiveness, and driving profitability through effective product lifecycle management. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to launch cutting-edge digital platforms and ensure their successful adoption in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the launch of digital platform solutions in the automotive sector.
  • Orchestrate the development and deployment of digital proof of concepts (PoCs).
  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for product adoption and growth.
  • Partner with business units globally to create a cohesive vision for product development.
  • Evangelize product offerings and demonstrate them to customers and partners.
  • Adapt product strategies based on market dynamics and feedback.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from conception to launch, managing timelines and deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities and competitive advantages for digital solutions.
  • Gather and utilize customer feedback to refine product offerings.
  • Conduct market research to validate ideas and ensure alignment with customer needs.
  • Manage budget planning and spending for IT projects within the unit.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. in engineering, IT, computer science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a business analyst or product owner.
  • Software development experience in program or project management, product development, or engineering roles.
  • 3 years of experience leading a project team.
  • Experience building complex IT projects (app, server, partner) development.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA preferred.
  • Experience with energy management policies related to V2X, V1G, or related regulatory agencies.
  • Strong experience with PoC development and use cases.
  • Excellent planning, negotiating, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Basic understanding of business model development and revenue models.
  • Technical orientation and understanding of automotive operations.
