About the position

EchoPark Automotive is seeking an Automotive Buyer for their Charlotte, NC location. This role is integral to the Consumer Acquisition Team, focusing on the valuation and processing of used vehicle inventory. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong analytical skills and effective communication to ensure successful purchasing decisions and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Obtain used-car inventory through the consumer purchasing process
• Set and negotiate pricing for vehicles
• Understand reconditioning costs associated with vehicle purchases
• Make financially sound purchasing decisions for the company
• Convert inquiries at a high rate while maintaining profitability
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service

Requirements

• Solid understanding of the retail and wholesale automobile sales processes
• Excellent analytical and valuation skills with a strong process orientation
• Management or prior purchasing experience preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience with web-based search applications and tablet technology
• Clean motor vehicle and criminal background records
