About the position

The Service Cashier at Cooper Auto Group is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while processing payments for automotive maintenance and repairs. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of service bills, calculating invoices, and addressing customer inquiries to enhance overall satisfaction. The position is integral to maintaining the dealership's reputation for quality service and customer care.

Responsibilities

  • Review the service bill for accuracy and cost.
  • Calculate customer's invoice utilizing dealership software.
  • Ensure appropriate manufacturer of 3rd party warranties were applied if applicable.
  • Receive proper method of payment from customers and record appropriate amount received on applicable repair order.
  • Relay customer concerns, questions, and/or needs to the service team.
  • Be the voice of the dealership to ensure complete customer satisfaction was delivered.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Professional appearance and grooming standards.
  • Ability to work well with customers maintaining poise and professionalism at all times while exhibiting a friendly, helpful attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous automotive service cashier experience a plus.
  • Previous experience with CDK software a plus.
