About the position

Mills Auto Group is seeking a Full-Time Accounting Clerk to manage various accounting functions within the dealership. The role requires strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, particularly in an automotive dealership setting. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for posting invoices, issuing checks, preparing statements, and performing general ledger reconciliations, among other clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Post invoices into CDK
  • Issue checks
  • Prepare statements and mail out
  • Do daily deposit from sales, parts, and service
  • Receipt in checks and ensure they are posted to the right accounts and invoices
  • Perform basic and routine accounting functions
  • Bill out car deals and RDR
  • Maintain assigned accounting schedules and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
  • Handle miscellaneous clerical tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous automotive dealership accounting experience required
  • Proficient with standard computer software and accounting software
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
