About the position
The Automotive Design Engineering Co-op/Intern position at Honda for Spring 2025 offers college students hands-on, project-based experience in various departments. This role is designed for students pursuing degrees in Product Design, Transportation Design, Graphic Design, or related fields. Interns will engage in meaningful projects, participate in events, and receive mentorship, all while contributing to Honda's innovative automotive design efforts.
Responsibilities
- Assisting design engineers in developing and designing future models and supporting the creation of drawings.
- Supporting the Styling team with color and graphic activities, conceptual sketches, and data modeling.
- Assisting with vehicle testing and countermeasure analysis, including problem and data analysis, test setup, and performance testing.
- Conducting cost and weight calculations.
- Attending meetings and collaborating with various design/test groups, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
Requirements
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program studying Product Design, Transportation Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
- Class status of Sophomore (by credit hour) or above.
- Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License and ability to secure own transportation.
