About the position
The Automotive Design Engineering Co-op/Intern position at Honda for Summer 2025 offers college students a hands-on, project-based experience in automotive design. Interns will engage in meaningful work relevant to their department, contributing to projects such as developing new tests, designing systems, and collaborating with various teams. Responsibilities
- Assisting design engineers in developing and designing future models and supporting the creation of drawings.
- Supporting the Styling team with color and graphic activities, conceptual sketches, and data modeling.
- Assisting in the development of vehicle testing and countermeasure analysis, including problem and data analysis, test setup, and performance testing.
- Conducting cost and weight calculations.
- Attending meetings and collaborating with design/test groups, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
Requirements
- General Business Coursework
- Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher
- Class status: Sophomore (by credit hour) or above
- Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program studying Product Design, Transportation Design, Graphic Design, or a related field
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Ability to secure own transportation to and from work each day.
