About the position

We are looking for an Automotive Technician to join our successful Auto Repair service center at Hallandale Auto Electric Inc. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards. You must be comfortable using the dealership's computer software and have extensive knowledge of vehicle systems. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, as you will need to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes and determine the best course of action to resolve issues. If you have a “never give up” attitude and are willing to problem-solve until you find the best solution for the customer, we want to hear from you. In this role, you will assist with establishing service center procedures for tracking repair status, maintaining technical documentation, and other necessary protocols. You will also carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements. Conducting in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes, will be a key part of your responsibilities. Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business is essential, and you will need to convey necessary vehicle repair information to customers in a clear and concise manner. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is not required
  • An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
  • Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
  • Strong customer service and communications skills are required
