About the position

This position involves performing experienced service work operating light automotive vehicles or equipment and performing routine automotive service and maintenance. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The hourly pay ranges from $17.21 to $18.93, with actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate light automotive vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine automotive service and maintenance.
• Respond to emergency duties as directed during hurricanes or major storms.

Requirements

• Six months of experience operating and maintaining light automotive vehicles and/or equipment.
• Experience with 5-yard dump trucks, pick-up trucks, step vans, jeeps, panel trucks, hydraulic/slope tractor mowers, sweepers, forklifts, flatbed trucks, compactors, small rollers, and similar public works vehicles.
• Commercial mowing experience with various types of mowers is preferred.
• Must possess or obtain a valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's license prior to employment.
