About the position

The Finance Director at Paddock Chevrolet is responsible for overseeing the high-volume Finance department, ensuring compliance with ethical standards, and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves training and supervising finance staff, managing customer loan origination processes, and maintaining a productive and efficient workflow within the department. The ideal candidate will embody the company's values of integrity, professionalism, and teamwork while driving financial performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with sales team on enforcement of proper selling methods
  • Oversee dealership customer loan origination and approval process
  • Be an example of professional morals, ethics, and excellent customer service (CSI)
  • Recruit, hire, and develop associates for the Financial Services Department
  • Establish a positive relationship with customers as they are presented products and services
  • Present VSC, GAP, and other beneficial products offered by the dealership
  • Secure and finalize transactions in a legal and ethical manner while maintaining a high level of productivity
  • Maintain a minimum 100% billed to sold ratio—establish a T/O system for every deal
  • Meet monthly forecast for finance and insurance income, penetration levels, and CSI
  • Accurately prepare all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to the transaction and submit to the dealership's Accounting Department in a timely manner
  • Supervise the financial services associates to ensure individual and department goals are met
  • Review and inspect the flow of department's paperwork on a daily basis to ensure a timely turnaround on all deals by producers and the accuracy of all documents provided to the office
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as an automotive finance director
  • Proficient at operating a personal computer including Microsoft Office: E-mail, Excel and Word
  • Great attitude with high-energy personality
  • Ability to work independently and work well in a process driven environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail
  • Professional appearance and work ethic; college degree or experience preferred
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
