About the position

Honda of North Hollywood is under new ownership and expanding! We are looking for qualified, motivated, and exceptional individuals to become part of our team. As a Finance Manager, you are one of the most important team members at Honda of North Hollywood. You are responsible for producing additional revenue for the dealership through the selling of finance and insurance programs, extended warranty, and any aftermarket to new and used cars. The Finance Manager works with lenders to obtain financing approval and completes all vehicle purchases and associated paperwork. Your work will ensure guests are our primary focus and leave 100% satisfied with their Honda of North Hollywood experience. Responsibilities

  • Maintain sustainable dealership production levels as defined by the General Manager and Senior Leadership
  • Actively participate in the recruitment of high-performing individuals by owning the entirety of the recruiting process as a hiring manager
  • Create and execute an action plan to effectively manage the sales team
  • Identify coaching needs and promote training opportunities
  • Hire, mentor and monitor the performance of the sales team
  • Set an example of professionalism through actions and appearance
  • Maintain superior customer service (CSI) through dealership culture
  • Ensure target revenues are met or exceeded
  • Responsible for profitability in the F & I department
  • Work closely with sales team on enforcement of proper selling methods
  • Set objectives for achieving sales and gross profits
  • Responsible for developing a productive relationship throughout the various dealership departments - F&I, accounting, service, and parts
  • Be the biggest promoter of CSI throughout the dealership
  • Develop high performing and capable sales team members into future roles in the organization through job growth, training, development and performance
  • Provide guidance, support and motivation to ensure employees are maximizing their ability and growth potential
  • Maintain a positive and ethical working relationship with all employees, manufacturers, lenders, vendors and customers
  • Continue to maintain our dealership's value, quality, and integrity
  • Analyze information and evaluate alternatives in an effort to resolve issues and make sound, timely decisions
  • Sell all of the tangible/in-tangle back-end products using a menu (Service Contracts, GAP, Paint/Fabric Sealants)
  • Manage Contracts in Transit on a daily basis
  • Use your prior experience with credit challenged sub-prime auto loan lending and complete understanding of sub-prime automotive business
  • Demonstrate resilience to work with lenders that specialize in poor credit profiles and sub-prime lending
  • Pay attention to detail and collect all stipulations that go with a subprime credit file
  • Take a transaction from A-Z, from the inception of the initial lead inquiry to delivery of the vehicle and funding of the loan
  • Model patience and work with credit challenged clientele

Requirements

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • At least three (3) years of sales management experience
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation/closing and follow up skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Experience and familiarity with various Automotive systems- DealertrackDMS, Dealertrack F & I, AutoAlertCXM, Vauto
  • Consistent and stable work history
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Ability to apply a common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
  • Have and maintain an excellent driving record
  • All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing including a background check and drug screen
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • MINIMUM of 2 YEARS in sub-prime lending in a special finance manager role
  • Ability to effectively rehash deals with Prime/Mid-prime/Sub-prime lenders
  • Leadership skills in team-based and independent settings.
