About the position

Ira Subaru Manchester, part of the rapidly expanding Group 1 Automotive, is seeking a qualified and experienced Automotive Finance Manager to join our high-performing team. The Automotive Finance Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the dealership's customer loan origination and approval process, ensuring that all transactions are conducted in a legal and ethical manner while maintaining high productivity levels. This position requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with both customers and lenders. In this role, the Automotive Finance Manager will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and developing associates within the Financial Services Department. The manager will also maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports, ensuring that all financial activities are documented and reported in a timely manner. A key aspect of the position involves determining customers' financing needs and exploring various payment options to best serve them. The manager will present various products and services, including warranties, credit insurance, and GAP insurance, to enhance the customer experience and secure transactions effectively. The Automotive Finance Manager will supervise financial services associates, ensuring that individual and departmental goals are met. This includes meeting monthly forecasts for finance and insurance income, penetration levels, and customer satisfaction metrics. Responsibilities

  • Oversee dealership customer loan origination and approval process.
  • Establish and maintain strong relations with our lenders.
  • Recruit, hire and develop associates for the Financial Services Department.
  • Maintain accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
  • Determine the customer's need for financing and explore payment options.
  • Establish a positive relationship with customers as they are presented products and services.
  • Present warranties, credit insurance, GAP insurance and other beneficial products offered by the dealership.
  • Secure and finalize transactions in a legal and ethical manner while maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Meet monthly forecast for finance and insurance income, penetration levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately prepare all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to the transaction and submit to the dealership's Accounting Department in a timely manner.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction during the entire purchase experience.
  • Supervise the financial services associates to ensure individual and department goals are met.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Finance Manager or similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of finance and insurance products and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and lenders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with dealership management software.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to automotive financing.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role.
