About the position

The Automotive Finance Manager at Janesville Subaru is a pivotal role within the dealership, responsible for managing the financial aspects of vehicle sales. This position is designed for a results-oriented individual who is highly driven and possesses extensive experience in finance and insurance (F&I) management. The F&I Manager will be tasked with selling financial products and services to clients, ensuring that all transactions are conducted in compliance with legal and ethical standards. This role requires a deep understanding of the financial products available, as well as the ability to work closely with financial lenders to secure favorable interest rates for buyers. In this position, the F&I Manager will oversee the entire financing process, which includes contracting all new business, checking and verifying paperwork related to cash, finance, or loan transactions, and ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained from banks and lenders. The manager will also be responsible for verifying insurance and completing all related paperwork, as well as soliciting sales for extended warranties and handling cancellations for these products. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of current programs and rate options offered by lenders, enabling them to provide clients with the best possible financing solutions. Responsibilities

  • Contracts all new business
  • Checks and verifies paperwork involved with cash, finance or loan transactions
  • Contracts or collects all money at closing
  • Seeks bank approval on all financed and leased deals
  • Assists in acquiring approval from lenders
  • Understands all current programs and rate options offered by our lenders
  • Verifies insurance and completes paperwork
  • Solicits extended warranty sales (after-market)
  • Handles all cancellations for extended warranties and credit life cancellations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an F&I Manager or similar role in the automotive industry
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services
  • Ability to work with financial lenders and negotiate favorable terms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards in finance transactions
