About the position

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Service and Parts Departments within the automotive industry. This leadership role focuses on ensuring operational processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with the company's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Automotive Service & Parts management, project management, and strategic planning, with a proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Service and Parts staffs to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee project management initiatives to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that align with business objectives and growth targets.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and partners to optimize operational costs.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance overall performance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish operational goals and monitor progress towards achieving them.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the operations team.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of operational tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles within Automotive Service management or related fields.
  • Proven history of strong Service Customer Satisfaction.
  • Excellent strategic planning abilities, with a focus on aligning operations with business goals.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills to effectively manage vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common objectives.
  • Experience in business development is a plus, enhancing the organization's growth potential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information across all levels of the organization.
