About the position

The General Manager will oversee all dealership operations at O'Meara Volkswagen, ensuring that the dealership meets sales, service, and customer satisfaction goals. The role requires a strong leader with at least 5 years of experience in an automotive dealership, particularly within an import OEM franchise, to drive team performance and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive and productive work environment by leading, mentoring, and developing management and staff across all departments.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and optimizing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve dealership sales objectives and expand market share.
• Champion a customer-first culture by ensuring all team members provide exceptional service and resolve customer issues promptly.
• Oversee vehicle inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.
• Work closely with OEM representatives to align dealership operations with brand standards and initiatives.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to ownership, identifying areas for improvement and growth.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Manager in an automotive dealership, specifically within an OEM franchise.
• Proven track record of effective leadership, team building, and operational management.
• Strong understanding of dealership financials, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
• Deep commitment to enhancing the customer experience and resolving issues efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate challenges and drive continuous improvement.
