About the position
As an Automotive General Service Technician at AAA Club Alliance, you will be responsible for a variety of automotive services. Your primary duties will include mounting, balancing, and installing tires, performing fluid flush and replacement, conducting visual vehicle inspections, replacing belts and hoses, testing and replacing batteries, and executing general automotive repairs. You will also be tasked with cleaning and maintaining test equipment and machines, as well as managing waste fluids in accordance with shop guidelines. This position requires flexibility in work assignments and a commitment to developing additional technical skills. Full-time technicians typically work 5 days a week, with Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays usually required, while Sundays are off, along with another day during the week based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Mount, balance, and install tires.
- Perform fluid flush and replacement.
- Conduct visual vehicle inspections.
- Replace belts and hoses.
- Test and replace batteries.
- Execute general automotive repairs.
- Clean and maintain test equipment and machines.
- Manage waste fluids in accordance with shop guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous automotive technician experience.
- A valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
- Ability to operate passenger vehicles and light and medium-duty trucks with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to complete satisfactory Pre-Employment Screenings (background check, drug screening, occupational physical assessment).
- Authorized to work in the USA.
