About the position
As an Automotive General Service Technician at AAA Club Alliance, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including mounting, balancing, and installing tires, performing fluid flushes and replacements, conducting visual vehicle inspections, and executing general automotive repairs. You will also maintain test equipment and machines, ensuring cleanliness and proper disposal of waste fluids according to shop guidelines. This position requires flexibility in work assignments and a commitment to developing additional technical skills. Full-time technicians typically work 5 days a week, with Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays being required, while Sundays are off and another weekday off is provided based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Mount, balance, and install tires.
- Perform fluid flush and replacement, visual vehicle inspection, belt and hose replacement, battery testing and replacement, and general automotive repairs.
- Clean and maintain test equipment and machines.
- Empty portable fluid drains into bulk waste fluid storage tanks and clean portable drains according to shop guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous automotive technician experience.
- A valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
- Ability to operate passenger vehicles and light and medium-duty trucks with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to complete satisfactory Pre-Employment Screenings (background check, drug screening, occupational physical assessment).
- Authorized to work in the USA.
