About the position

The Automotive Master Technician at Conrad's Tire Express and Total Car Care is responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles while providing leadership and direction to the service department. This role requires a high level of expertise in automotive diagnostics and repair, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds customer expectations. The technician will also train other service department members and assist in the daily operations of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles accurately and within a reasonable time frame.
• Perform advanced removal and replacement, and diagnostic work according to daily work orders.
• Train members of the service department in various vehicle maintenance and repair responsibilities.
• Assist location managers with daily operations, including pricing work orders and requisitioning parts.
• Understand and perform all duties of all Technician roles.
• Observe and follow all necessary safety regulations when operating machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Perform work of other members of the service department if business necessitates.

Requirements

• ASE Certification in Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Heating & Air Conditioning, Refrigerant Recovery & Recycling, Engine Repair, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Engine Performance, Auto Advanced Engine Performance, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Manual Drive Train & Axles.
• Advanced automotive maintenance, removal & replacement knowledge/skills.
• Advanced automotive diagnostic knowledge/skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with computerized vehicle systems.
• Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
