About the position

The Automotive Mechanic/Technician at Precision Tune Auto Care is responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure their optimal performance. This role involves conducting inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and addressing mechanical and electrical system malfunctions. The technician will also keep accurate records of services performed and participate in ongoing education to stay updated on industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters.
• Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; using diagnostic computer and tools, conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
• Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
• Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
• 1 year of automotive repair experience (Required)
• Driver's License (Preferred)
• ASE Certification (Preferred)
