About the position
Mavis Tires & Brakes is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join their team in Bloomingdale, IL. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and performing a variety of automotive services, particularly undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks. Mechanics will also conduct state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, and manage tire services. This position is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose automotive issues on customers' vehicles.
- Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
- Complete state-mandated inspections.
- Change oil and filters, and check fluids.
- Replace worn parts as necessary.
- Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Have an extensive toolbox of personal tools for undercar repairs.
Nice-to-haves
- State inspection license(s).
- ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
