About the position
Mavis Tire is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join their team in Raritan, NJ. As leaders in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing a variety of automotive services, including state-mandated inspections and various repairs. This role is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and delivering high-quality service in one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles.
- Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
- Complete state-mandated inspections.
- Change oil and filters, check fluids, and replace worn parts.
- Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Possess an extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs.
Nice-to-haves
- State inspection license(s).
- ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
