About the position

Mavis Tires & Brakes is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join their team in Medford, MA. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and performing a variety of automotive services, particularly undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks. Automotive Mechanics will also conduct state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and manage tire services including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose automotive issues on customers' vehicles.
• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state-mandated inspections.
• Change oil and filters, and check fluids.
• Replace worn parts as necessary.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Have an extensive toolbox of personal tools for undercar repairs.

Nice-to-haves

• State inspection license(s).
• ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
