About the position

The Automotive Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of an automotive dealership, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and managing office staff. This role requires strong leadership skills and a focus on maintaining a customer-oriented culture within the team. The ideal candidate will have prior automotive office experience and be capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounting operations of the business.
  • Maintain an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets.
  • Communicate across all teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Establish, manage, and train office staff while coordinating schedules.
  • Ensure all store financial transactions are processed accurately and timely in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivables.
  • Administer policies and procedures related to office management.
  • Oversee title work, accounting, and automotive office functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of prior automotive office experience.
  • Experience as an office manager or readiness to take on the challenge.
  • Proven leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Clear vision of a customer and team-oriented culture.
  • Methodical thinking regarding dealership controls and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to set and achieve goals and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and superior follow-up skills.
  • Extremely organized with multi-tasking ability in a busy environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, email, internet, and dealership software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Reynolds software is a plus.
