About the position

The Automotive Painter position at Caliber Collision involves performing various duties related to paint operations in a collision center. The role focuses on preparing and applying paint to vehicles, ensuring that all processes meet OEM standards, and preparing vehicles for return to body technicians.

Responsibilities

• Prepare color tint to match paint color.
• Mix paint colors and ensure all formulations meet OEM standards.
• Perform top coating and curing of paint applications.
• Ensure all paint operations are complete before returning vehicles.
• Remove masking and reassemble any disassembled parts prior to vehicle return.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center.
• Auto Body certificate or ASE certification in refinishing preferred.
• Ability to perform consistent physical activity, including lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work through competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
