About the position

The Automotive Parts Assistant at Jaguar Land Rover Carlsbad is responsible for supporting the parts department by assisting with shipping, receiving, and delivering parts to technicians. This role is essential for maintaining organization within the parts inventory and ensuring timely delivery of parts to support vehicle repairs. The position can be part-time or full-time based on departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Pick and deliver parts to technician's bay or other designated areas.
• Receive and sort daily stock orders and/or mail.
• Assist in stocking parts and placing them in their designated areas or creating new locations for recently added inventory.
• Pick, sort, and stage parts for future orders and/or deliveries.
• Maintain a clean work environment through parts bin maintenance, sweeping, mopping floors, wiping shelves, and clearing trash.
• Inventory parts shelves and bins routinely to ensure accurate on-hand counts.
• Create designated delivery routes and deliver parts to designated offsite locations while collecting payments.
• Assist with the acquisition of parts from other dealers or third-party vendors, requiring driving to collect needed repair parts.
• Collect returns and/or sample parts from third-party vendors.
• Prepare in-house warranty return items for shipment and dispose of warranty and claim parts when deposition is clear.
• Assist with shipping via FEDEX, UPS, and various logistics carriers, ensuring proper documentation and handling.

Requirements

• Entry-level experience in warehouse management or related field.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment safely.
