About the position
The Parts Specialist at Ingersoll Automotive is responsible for managing the dealership's parts inventory, ensuring that common service needs are met efficiently. This role involves ordering out-of-stock items, providing cost estimates to customers, and processing purchase orders to maintain accurate accounts with suppliers. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automotive parts and repair, along with excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain our parts inventory
- Locate parts using our computer system
- Order out-of-stock items
- Provide cost estimates to potential customers
- Issue purchase orders to external suppliers
- Assist with invoicing and payment processing
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of automotive parts experience
- Mechanical knowledge or repair experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills
- Customer service skills
