About the position

The Automotive Parts Consultant position at Sparta Chevrolet involves assisting customers with their automotive parts needs, providing product knowledge, and ensuring timely availability of parts. The role requires a dependable individual with a positive attitude and basic automotive knowledge, who can effectively communicate and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers with enthusiasm, in a helpful and prompt manner.
• Provide product knowledge and assist in part selection through use of electronic parts catalogs.
• Receive and organize inventory and special orders.
• Verify receipts/invoices against purchase orders.
• Assist technicians and service advisors in part selection and part acquisition to assure parts are available in a time-sensitive environment.
• Create invoices for counter sales and provide quotes for both internal and external customers.
• Monitor special orders daily and notify customers upon receipt.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
• Clean driving record
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable with computer-based software
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Basic automotive knowledge necessary.

Nice-to-haves

• Dealership experience with General Motors is a plus.
