About the position

Ken Garff Volkswagen Gilbert is seeking a Parts Back Counter Sales Associate who embodies the company's core values of respect, intelligence, greatness, honesty, and teamwork. This role is essential in ensuring customer satisfaction and efficiency within the parts department, contributing to the dealership's goal of creating lifetime customers.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer complaints tactfully and promptly according to dealership guidelines.
• Encourage the sale of branded parts.
• Schedule efforts to improve customer/Parts Department interactions and transactions.
• Establish processes to ensure accuracy between inventory and computer records.
• Refresh accessory displays and coordinate with Sales Manager for accessory vehicle availability.
• Monitor workflow in the parts department to ensure timely completion of work and technician needs are met.
• Make warranty and billing adjustments.
• Monitor backorders daily to ensure quick shipping and receiving of deliveries.
• Ensure all dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment.
• Tag all parts correctly to recover full credit from the factory.
• Assist in collecting on overdue accounts.
• Notify special-order customers upon arrival of parts.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in an automotive parts department preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information.
• Creative and logical problem-solving skills with empathy for customers.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to move about the parts department and possess computer skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the role (i.e. lift over 50lbs).
• Valid in-state driver's license with a driving record that adheres to company standards.
