About the position
CarShop is seeking a dedicated Parts Counterperson to serve as the primary contact for the Parts Department, facilitating communication between Service Technicians and Service Managers. This role is crucial for maintaining parts inventory and ensuring timely order fulfillment, which directly impacts service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the face-to-face representative of the Parts Department to Service Technicians and Service Managers.
- Maintain and manage the parts inventory effectively.
- Search for the best prices, order, and distribute the correct parts in a timely manner.
- Communicate proactively with Service Technicians and Departments regarding order statuses.
- Maintain good relationships with current vendors and seek to expand the vendor base.
Requirements
- Experience in automotive repair or service technician roles.
- Strong sales skills and cash handling experience.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving history.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Ebay.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
