About the position

The Automotive Parts Counterperson is responsible for providing customers with requested parts and accessories in a timely manner. This role involves accurately identifying needed items, soliciting additional sales, processing transactions using the Dealer Management System, managing special orders, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the inventory and retail areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide requested parts and accessories to customers in a timely manner.
• Specify the correctly needed items for customers.
• Solicit additional sales to enhance revenue.
• Charge out merchandise using the Dealer Management System.
• Follow up on special orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Tag, store, and process warranty parts efficiently.
• Assist in conducting inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Keep the inventory area, parts counter, and retail displays clean and orderly.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in a parts counter role or similar position.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Familiarity with automotive parts and accessories.
