About the position
The Automotive Parts Counterperson at Capital Chevrolet of Wake Forest is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the parts department. This role involves selling automotive parts, providing excellent customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Sells parts to customers at the counter, through the shop, or over the telephone.
- Assists customers in identifying and selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Manages inventory, places and fulfills orders, and ensures stock replenishment.
- Handles telephone calls, provides price quotes, and processes orders.
- Maintains orderly records of all transactions, invoices, and special-order parts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a good understanding of vehicle parts and their functions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
- Experience in parts sales or a related field is beneficial.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Willingness to adapt to changes in warehouse processes and procedures.
- Must pass pre-employment background screenings.
