About the position
The Automotive Parts Department Counter Person-Manager is responsible for overseeing the parts department in a fast-paced automotive environment. This role involves assisting technicians with parts ordering, inventory management, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a background in automotive mechanical and body shop operations, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and courteous service to the Service Department.
- Assist technicians in determining all needed parts accurately.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in obtaining the right part number the first time.
- Work directly with service advisors to ensure all needed parts are available.
- Manage the department in every aspect, including inventory management.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Basic understanding of inventory control.
- Previous parts advisor experience preferred.
- Kia experience is a plus.
- Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Experience with computers and parts catalogs.
