About the position

As a Line Lead in the Parts department at Carvana, you will manage and develop a team of associates at one of our Inspection Centers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and cost-efficient provision of automotive parts to support our operations. This role requires close collaboration with associates, the Parts Manager, and production leaders to manage inventory and order necessary parts effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage expertise to understand processes and propose improvements.
  • Manage parts processes to ensure timely and cost-efficient ordering.
  • Lead and develop a team of parts associates in finding required parts and managing inventory.
  • Train hourly associates on necessary reporting and systems for Parts processes.
  • Ensure safety standards are met in the Parts area to minimize injury risks.
  • Meet or exceed key metrics and goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Conduct business in accordance with Carvana policies and procedures.
  • Act ethically and in the best interest of the customer and business at all times.
  • Portray a positive image of Carvana and contribute to a professional work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive parts or inventory management in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Experience working with a wide variety of automotive parts.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (no more than two moving violations or DUIs in the last three years).
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mentality.
  • Moderate understanding of vehicle mechanical repair.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading and developing hourly, front-line associates.
  • Experience working in the Automotive Industry or in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working for a fast-paced hyper-growth company.
